This client required the usual textile and uniform requirements, along with warehousing and an online ordering portal that could allow for the holding of small and medium quantities of sizes and styles.

Our Policies
Environmental Management
We've always been drawn to eco-friendly products and materials. Over the last decade we have diligently worked to minimise our own and also our clients' waste footprints. The principal way we do this is by extending the lifespan of products. We refuse to trade in environmental gimmicks or false environmental claims. It’s a simple formula; use less energy and better materials to produce products. Make sure the product has a long-life span.

An example of our environmental commitment and ingenuity is found in the walls of our warehouse. The walls are constructed from recycled bridge concrete slabs. The slabs have been repurposed, so that they didn’t end up as landfill. They also benefit the building's thermal profile. The slabs were more challenging to use and increased the building’s cost but the environmental benefits (both economical and operational) coming from incorporating them into our warehouse, have made it worthwhile.
We were the first in Australia to advocate for and source products crafted from marble waste, commonly known as “stone paper”, the first to sell products made from otherwise discarded and burned rice husks and one of the first to offer Tyvek™, recycled and recyclable, paper in Australia. We advocated for these materials even though we knew they represented a poorer financial profile for our business.
We are fully cognizant of our responsibilities in terms of environmental, social, governance and know these obligations transcend mere compliance with regulatory standards. We stand committed to environmental transparency, sincerity, and integrity.

Our environmental management system and policy includes:
-
Acknowledging global warming
-
A commitment to reducing landfill contributions
-
Championing recycling and the utilisation of recycled materials
-
Curtailing energy consumption while endorsing alternative environmental energy sources like solar, wind, and hydro power
-
Prohibit involvement with non-essential hazardous materials
-
Demonstrated reverence for our natural surroundings and biodiversity
-
Reduction of water usage and elimination of water contamination risks
-
Enforcing efficient and prudent resource utilisation

This ethos governs our operations locally and extends, as far as is possible and practicable, to all our manufacturing partner sites across the globe.
Ethical Sourcing
The landscape of international sourcing is progressively evolving beyond a mere transaction with distant parties. It now encompasses a holistic consideration of its impact on lives, the environment, labour, safety, local cultures, and established conventions. Responsible sourcing isn't about imposing Western standards on developing nations; rather, it's a recognition that ethical and moral principles transcend geographical boundaries.

At our core, we uphold “responsible sourcing” principles and diligently take measures to ensure that our actions, whether intentionally or inadvertently, do not contribute to violations of internationally accepted standards in any sourcing endeavour we undertake. Excluding COVID we have actively maintained a schedule of factory visits. The visits were used to check our supply partners operations and businesses, and ensure they adhered to the same standards that we do.
The principles covered are:
-
Child Labor Laws: Ensuring compliance with child labour laws.
-
Fair and Ethical Treatment of Labour: Prioritising equitable treatment of workers, including just compensation of injuries and provision of acceptable working conditions.
-
Workplace Health and Safety: Adhering to prescribed health and safety regulations.
-
Ecological Protection: Upholding ecological preservation principles.
-
Modern Slavery Act: Ensuring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act.

We welcome audits of our and our factory partner operations.
